Access to quality dental care for children is a public health dilemma. The School Dentist program offers portable, preventative dentistry brought straight to children in their own comfortable, safe, and convenient school environment.

The School Dentist has been visiting schools since 2003, delivering services by innovative and experienced caregivers in the state of Michigan and is currently expanding to the state of Oklahoma. Our service is available to all students in kindergarten through eighth grade.

Preventative dentistry is important to the health and well-being of all children. Early detection and prevention of childhood dental disease decreases pain; decreases loss of school hours for dental appointments; and decreases overall health care costs. Thousands of children cannot pay attention in school, eat, or sleep due to severe dental disease. More than 60% of children will not see a dentist this year because of limited access to dental care.

Schools and the communities they serve are aware of their children's dental needs, but they need outside professional help to assist the children. The School Dentist addresses all of these issues.
